Mark Initially worked and trained with small accountancy practices in the North West of England, along with a family owned group of engineering companies.  Subsequently, Mark moved to Germany where he worked as a financial controller for a global freight forwarder and then for a multi-national enterprise computer service company. Upon returning to the UK, Mark took a senior position in London, handling privately held limited liability companies and trust structures for foreign nationals. Mark’s work across a range of financial services in the Cayman Islands has enabled him to gain significant expertise in many facets of the offshore financial world, including:

  • Company management and corporate services, the establishment of funds and the provision of independent director services;
  • The use of captive insurance and reinsurance companies as an integral part of an organisation’s risk management framework, including group and association captives;
  • Insurance and reinsurance company formation (general and long-term), licensing, compliance and on-going management and the provision of independent director services where requested; and
  • Other corporate and high net worth client work, such as the registering and management of super yachts.

Prior to joining Etienne Blake Corporate Services, Mark was the Senior Vice President of Operations at Atlas Insurance Management (Cayman) Limited, overseeing all client service operations. This covered the management and leadership of both the Cayman Islands and Charlotte, North Carolina client service teams. Aside from the Cayman Islands, the Cayman office of Atlas also managed captives in the offshore jurisdictions of Anguilla, Bahamas and Nevis and the Charlotte office handled captives in numerous onshore States.
